Skat event in the Young Chelsea

Our next tournament will be held at the Young Chelsea Bidge Club, Earl's Court, London SW5 0EN (nearest tube: Earl's Court) on Saturday October 25th. There is a map here.

The premises will open at 11:00. As with our previous events, registration will be between 11-00 and 11-15, play will start at 11-30, and consist of 4 rounds of Skat, ending between 6-30 and 7-00pm. You are welcome to play any or all of the rounds.

Instead of our usual synchron (duplicate) format, we'll be dealing the cards normally at each table, which will allow lady luck to play a bigger part.  Depending on numbers present, I'm hoping to award prizes not just for highest scores, but for things like highest number of games won, best session score, hand won against the most matadors etc, so that everyone's in with a shout of winning something even on the last hand of the day.

We encourage players of ALL abilities, and aim for an enjoyable, as well as a competitive day.

The entry fee is £8.50, with prizes awarded to the winner and runners-up.

So that they can arrange lunch, please tell the organiser, Mike Tobias, two days in advance if you intend to play. However late entries can be accepted before 11-00am on the day is fine if you find yourself unexpectedly free. We will need to order lunch before play starts: the menu may be like

Toasted sandwiches (brown or white), any combination of cheese, ham, tomato.£1.80
