Kurnik Skat sessions

Since Monday, April 4th, 2005, the British Skat Association is holding regular online Skat sessions at the Polish server http://www.playok.com/, formerly known as Kurnik (instructions below). These take place every Monday.

We'll be there from 7-30 p.m. until at least 9-30 p.m. (from April to October, this is 18:30 - 20:30 GMT; from November to March, it is 19:30 to 21:30 GMT).

Currently these sessions are completely informal, turn up any time between 7-30 and 9-30 and just join in.

Everyone is invited, but particularly welcome are those of you who can't make the tournaments for whatever reason, and even more so, players who would like to attend the tournaments, but who are rusty, unsure of the rules, or who simply have questions to ask. However many or few people turn up, there will always be someone available to help people in this latter group.

We hope to see as many of you as possible.

How to get to the server

Go to www.playok.com to get to the English language page.

Click on Skat, which takes you to a registration/log-in page.

Registration is completely free, and consists only of picking a nickname and a password. (Playing is also free)

Log in (if registration doesn't do it automatically) and you'll reach the Skat front page.

There are 6 rooms with strange Polish names. We will be in the top room "nerwiki" designated 'beginner'. Click on that, wait a minute for the game to load, and just come in and say hello. If you need any help from there, just ask. If the table is "greyed out" wait a minute and we'll invite you.

The whole procedure only takes a minute or two, but you may want to take a look/register in advance
