But if you keep the T-9-7 of spades and discard the singletons you will win with Schneider at least half the time - always when the spades split 2-2 and sometimes when they don't, depending on the play. If you discard the 10 of spades Scheider is pretty unlikely. Is the chance of Scheider enough to compensate for the slightly higher risk of losing the game if you keep the 10 ? I think it's quite a close decision.

I was mainly disputing Patrick's statement that the Grand was less attractive.

I think I'd still bank the 10. +24pts at least half the time against -244 if it goes off is a hell of a swing. It could depend on game situation, but taking Grand with 2 is a nice default action.
